Lubbock Area School Performing Arts Production Support
This program is focused on supporting local school productions of theater shows, musicals, and band performances with professional production support and aid from local theatrical professional technical designers, directors, and producers.

Learn and Work calls
Every six-week schedule includes three “Learn and Work” calls with students in the production and their families. These calls focus on direct instruction: students learn safety in the shop and theater on power tools, moving properties, proper stage calls, and correct order and procedure — along with mathematics, load calculations, figuring, and implementation in a practical environment.
Artistically, our efforts are based in art, design, and stagecraft theory; practical implementation with respect to scope and available resources; and collaboration with teachers in their respective environments. Each series of work calls is designed to produce a piece of scenery, costume, or similar element that actually plays in the students’ production.
